Art At Your Fingertips: Galerie ERGA debuts online store of Montreal Art

Galerie ERGA has championed Montreal's vibrant art scene for years, showcasing diverse local talents. Now, we're thrilled to introduce our latest endeavor: Available Artworks, an online space where you can explore and purchase artworks from our represented artists from the comfort of your own home. By bringing Montreal's independent artists online, we hope to provide a platform where enthusiasts, collectors, and admirers can discover and acquire pieces that resonate with them. As you browse our online gallery, you'll find an array of styles, from Helen Karanika's abstract explorations to Theresa Passarello's evocative figurative paintings.

Erik Nieminen, a Finnish-Canadian artist, invites viewers into a world of surreal beauty with his mesmerizing compositions. "My works present an independent reality, a liminal, unreal world dependent on our world yet separate from it," says Nieminen. His exploration of space, perspective, and light transcends conventional boundaries, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in a realm where imagination knows no limits. Kevin Noordberg's creations offer a captivating journey into the depths of stone. Born and raised in Montreal, Noordberg's passion for artistic expression led him to explore various mediums before finding his true calling in sculpture. "Each piece of stone has a treasure inside waiting to be found," says Noordberg. Through his mastery of marble and other materials, he uncovers the hidden potential within each block, sculpting forms that speak to the soul. See Kevin’s available artworks HERE.

Helen Karanika, originally from Greece and now a proud Montreal resident, creates vivid collage works by combining pieces of drawings and paintings. "I love discovering surprising connections and relationships between shapes, colors, and lines that are not immediately obvious," says Helen. Her abstract pieces, often based on real-life observations, invite viewers to explore the interplay of shapes and colors in unexpected ways. See Helen’s available artworks HERE.

Alison Hamier's ethereal paintings transport viewers to transcendent beauty. A deep exploration of the materiality of paint has defined Hamier's artistic journey. "Stains are exquisite reminders of the materiality of paint, served up in tiny doses, bubbles of ecstasy," says Hamier. Her textured canvases and delicate brushstrokes evoke a sense of wonder and contemplation. See Alison’s available artworks HERE.

Cynthia van Frank’s thought-provoking artworks poignantly reflect on memory, loss, and the passage of time. A Montreal-born artist educator, van Frank's journey informs her exploration of themes such as family, home, and nature. "As a memory keeper, she illuminates memory's fragility and uncovers narratives within surrounding objects," says her bio. See Cynthia’s available artworks HERE.

Theresa Passarello, a Canadian painter, offers a unique perspective on the human experience. "Unfilled spaces, gaps, missing parts - speaks to a more direct focus on the absence of memory, the emptiness in between what we know and do not know, the echo that remains in its wake," says Passarello. Her figurative paintings and text-based works contemplate the complexities of the human psyche. See Theresa’s available artworks HERE.
