4 PALLETTES

Quatre artistes qui se sont rencontrées et son devenues amies lorsqu’elles avaient toutes des ateliers dans le meme immeuble se réunissent pour cette exposition intitulée “4 Pallettes”. Il s’agit de leur premiere exposition dans une galerie depuis la pandémie. Marja Hogan présente des peintures a l’huile détaillées de fleurs, Sandra Boorne expose des peintures floral abstraites a l’acrylique et en techniques mixtes, Kathryn Gabinet-Kroo expose des oeuvres d’oiseaux et de fleurs peintes a l’huile sur des papiers Japonais, et Shaune Thompson présente des photographies des sites emblématiques Montréalais et exprimées sur acrylique. Bien que cette combinaison puisse sembler inhabituelle, de différentes approches des artistes a l’égard du monde qui les entoure s’unissent pour faire de cette exposition un éventent fascinant.

Four artists who met and became friends when they all had studios in the same building are joining together for this exhibition entitled “4 Pallettes. It is their first in-gallery exhibition since the pandemic. Marja Hogan is showing detailed oil paintings of flowers, Sandra Boorne is exhibiting acrylic and mixed media abstracted floral paintings, Kathryn Gabinet-Kroo will show mixed media works of birds and flowers painted in oil on Japanese papers and Shaune Thompson will present photographs of iconic Montreal landmarks, printed on acrylic. While this may seem like an unusual combination, the artists’ different approaches to the world around them come together to make this a fascinating show.
